About
Who we are, in plain terms
Playhouse Gazette compares online casinos licensed in the United Kingdom. That is the whole job. We are not a casino, not a bookmaker, and not the regulator.
The site exists because comparing UK casinos is more tedious than it should be. Operators bury the things that matter — how long a withdrawal takes, whether they take PayPal, what the minimum deposit is — under a pile of bonus banners. We read the terms, open the apps, note the payment options and write down what we find, in the same order, for every operator we cover.
What we are not
We do not take bets. We hold no money, run no accounts, and cannot pay out winnings, reset a password or chase a stuck withdrawal for you — only the operator can do any of that. When you click a link here you leave Playhouse Gazette and deal directly with a UK Gambling Commission-licensed company. If you have a complaint about a casino, it goes to them, and if that fails, to the Commission or an approved alternative dispute resolution body.
How the site is paid for
Through affiliate commissions. If you follow a link, open an account and play, some operators pay us a referral fee. You pay nothing extra and your terms are identical to anyone who walked in off the street. We spell this out in full on the affiliate disclosure page, because a comparison site that hides its funding is not worth reading.
The thing that keeps it honest: the ranking is built from checkable facts — licensing, payments, withdrawal speed, game range, app quality and support — not from who pays the most. A generous commission does not move a site up the list, and a slow cashout drags it down regardless of the deal.
Who it is for
Adults in the UK, aged 18 or over, who already gamble or are deciding where to. We write for people who want the practical detail and can do without the hype. If gambling has stopped being fun, the responsible gambling page lists the free UK services that can help, including GAMSTOP self-exclusion.
Getting in touch
Spotted something out of date, or think a figure in the table is wrong? Tell us — corrections are welcome and we would rather fix them than not. The contact page has the details. We cannot help with anything to do with your casino account; that has to go to the operator.
